It is Finally Saturday! Gus get up and enjoy it!

Good morning guys and gals.  I got to sleep in today.  No work for me no hikes for me today.  I took a 4 hr one yesterday.  I was only supposed to take one group and then ended up taking another group along with us.  Boy did we have some lazy kids along with us this trip.  I had to pull the rear the first part of the hike and it was not fun.  The environmental head honcho lead the tour and this woman is a snail.  I had to laugh though as we came across a heard of cows in our path and she freaked and said we would have to turn around as she could not get the cows to move.  The kids were "Mrs. Foster help her"  So I run up the front and I start talking to the cows just like I talk to the kids and told them to move they were in our way.  I clapped my hands and walked right up to them and they just moved.  The kids clapped and it was hilarious.   Then as we were passing I see a baby cow that some how got through to the other side of the fence and was trapped.  Now I knew now why the cows were blocking the path, the baby cow was stuck. I told the woman we gotta save the cow!  She said the cow will figure its way out.  I said this is why the cows are blocking the path.  She said no they just like the road.  Me the city girl her the environmental expert and she is afraid of a damn cow!  Me too but I would never let the kids know.  WEll  the baby cow is stuck! I told the woman just go hike and we will save the cow.  Two of the kids helped me.  I had one boy jump the fence and get a stick  shoo the baby cow back through the fence.  It took a few trys but the baby came through and then the herd of cows all left on their merry way.  This ______ (fill in the blank) says oh the cow would have found its way out  all by itself. you really didn't do anything special.  I looked at her and said "Obviously you are not a mom.  As a mom could not stand to see a baby seperated from it's mother.  Even the cow mommies were standing there all upset over this and now look at the herd going off all happy like with the baby" She said whatever.  OMG I wanted to smack her.  She tried to take the glory that these two boys had right away from them.  These boys were so proud that they helped this cow and that the did something so special that they would never get a chance to do again in their lives and this  _____ almost ruined it for them.  If you could have seen the look on these kids faces when the baby cow went back to the MaMa cow you would cry, it was beautiful.  These kids are Seniors, they are also special needs seniors.  They are city kids but to see their faces out there yesterday was a blessing beyond anything you can imagine.  I am so blessed to work with these kids and do what Ilove to do. Hike.  Well enough is a enough and I will see some of you today and those I don't know that I will be thinking of you.  Barb give everyone at your lunch a big hug for me and tell them I will come again soon, I want to see all those skinny girls!

I just knew someone was posting as I was!  Oh, now you must come help us with round-up in the spring!!!!  We get on quads and horses and chase the cows into the pens!  We yell at them, we shout, we clap, and we get them to move.  And, throw rocks (the one and only time it's OK to throw rocks)

Let me fill in the blank for you, is the word you meant to use, *****  That is the only one I could fill in for you.  And Miss Rhonda you can't say that woman was walking slow....she was probably walking fast for her speed, walking with you would be like walking with the roadrunner!!  I think that should be your new name...Roadrunner!  I get tired from watching you. 

So today is the day......The SOCAL coffee.  I am so excited about going I am like a 5 year old going to Disneyland for the first time.  I just need to get out more!

Good morning Rhonda and Cali,

Well today brings blood work for my PCP.  I will be leaving for the lab, then come home to make breakfast here in a minute.  Today is the Nor Cal lunch and the whole family is going.  DH wants to thank all his well wishers.  He has the physical screening next week (two days).  Then hopefully off to work. 

You all enjoy your SB coffee and see the rest of you at the Nor Cal lunch.  I know those that can't attend will be there in spirit!

Diane, I know how you feel about going to the So Cal Coffee today...I am so excited myself...Michelle R and I will be there...and of course my granddaughter...see you all there...

Then I have a Birthday party in Moreno Valley later this afternoon with family...which will be nice...I haven't seen some of them for a few months.  Then home to relax or bed depending what time it is,

BTW . . . the Boobie Bandits are doing San Diego in 2010 . . . and looking for more team members . . . the only reason I'm mentioning this so early is because there is a $35 discount if  you register before this November . . . which makes the registration just $55.  Think about it!  I recommend it to EVERYONE!

Good Morning Rhonda and Cali Friends,

Rhonda, I could just see you with that woman, she's a WIMP!  I am so happy the kids got to experience that and with you my friend.  This is an experience that they will never forget, how fortunate for them and of course the baby calf and it's mama!

Well today brings the Nor Cal luncheon, can't wait.  We're going to celebrate so much this month and we're going to plan for our Apple Hill outing.

I got a nice text message from my boss this morning, she said she just cleaned out my new office closet and thanked me for all the hard work I had done and how much she appreciated me this week!  I was blown away, she is a very fun woman who doesn't get fazed by much, loves to have fun at work and she is a firecracker with energy and she's in her mid to late 60's!  She's fantastic!!!

I hope everyone has a great day.  Rhonda I will be glad to hug everyone from you and please do the same for me at So Cal luncheon!

I hope you have a great time at the Nor Cal lunch.

My mom is going to have surgery to remove a rather strange large tumor in her abdomen. It's not attached to any organ so surgery is a possibility. While my mom is not thrilled about surgery, the news could have been much worse. The oncologist said the surgery will be rather straight forward and not risky. He also said my mom is doing very well considering all the treatment she's had the past 3 years.  She will have surgery in around 3 weeks. 

Of course all of this is happening in October, the busiest time of the year for my office. If I weren't the person who manages everyone and everything, I wouldn't be as concerned.  During my day off yesterday and today, I've already had 4 phone calls from the elected official I work for. The Chief of Staff is out of the country too right now so I am being brought in to make decisions about everything!!  I'll make if all work, but I just have to make sure I don't completely forget about my own well being.
